Story
50 years ago, on June 5th, Dave Howlett left Shanklin in the Isle of Wight on a solo sponsored row for the RNLI, aiming for Guernsey. The weather turned and, the next day, he abandoned "Tenacity" off Alderney. Retracing his journey in comfort, I'm celebrating Dave's generous tenacity to raise money for the Sandown & Shanklin Independent Lifeboat (pictured) and Alderney's RNLI lifeboat.
